After a short while, SimWorks Studios has finally released the amphibian version of the highly popular Kodiak 100 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The Kodiak 100 Series III is an updated version of the Series II, incorporating various enhancements such as the Garmin G1000 NXi and an updated autopilot. The Series III Amphibian comes equipped with a pitch-latch propeller, float ready equipment and is powered by the same Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-34, rated at 750shp. It is capable of taking off from water in less than 1000ft, while still being able to perform short field operations and cruise at speeds of 160kts.

Since the SimWorks Studios Kodiak 100 Series II was released late last year, the small turboprop has received continuous praise in the flight sim community due to its realistic flight model, custom systems, stunning visuals and of course a brilliant sound environment to match.

Just like the Kodiak 100 Series II, SimWorks Studios has worked closely with Daher and real-world Kodiak hydroplane pilots to help develop and make the Series III Amphibian as authentic an experience as possible.

SimWorks Studio’s rendition of the Kodiak 100 Series III includes all the superb features of the Series II plus some extras, four different interiors (passenger, cargo, mixed and summit), Working Title G1000 NXi integration, 36 liveries, custom animations and more.

You can purchase the SimWorks Studios Kodiak Series III Amphibian from their website now for €14.99, existing owners of the Kodiak Series II can grab it for €9.99. Alternatively, it can also be purchased from third-party vendors such as Orbx and SimMarket.
