LHSimulations, known for their add-ons covering the country of Hungary, released their Budapest Airport v2 (LHBP) for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport is the largest of the four commercial airports in Hungary, serving the capital city of Budapest. It’s a base for Ryanair and also handles significant traffic primarily within Europe but also Africa, the Middle East, North America, and Asia. Following the collapse of Malév Hungarian Airlines in 2012, the airport found a resurgence through the expansion of infrastructure projects which includes newly refurbished 2A and 2B terminals, a Skycourt departure hall, a new cargo and business area, as well as a new airport hotel.
LHSimulations brings Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport to life with an accurate representation of the airport. The airport add-on includes high resolution coverage of the entire airport and areas in the vicinity, accurate taxiway, gate, and parking stands, functioning jetways, and more. They also mention implementing LODs for better performance as you approach or leave the airport.
The buck doesn’t stop there for LHSimulations however. Owners of this airport will also enjoy free future updates which will include a new terminal, presumably Terminal 3 which is still under construction, other buildings at the airport, additional jetway animations, custom airport traffic, and further performance optimizations.
If you are interested in adding Budapest to your list of destinations to fly into, you can check out Budapest Airport v2 by purchasing it through the MSFS Marketplace.
