Impulse Simulations has released Canberra Airport (YSCB) for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The airport is located in Australia’s capital and is a quick hop from other major cities like Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.
“Canberra Airport is serviced by a range of airlines using a mixture of turboprop and jet aircraft such as the 737. In its dual role as a civilian airport and home to the VIP RAAF 34 squadron, it is also capable of supporting VIP aircraft from around the world including Air Force One and other large jets. There are a number of flying schools and general aviation businesses operating from the GA area adjacent to the main terminal.”
There are a number of features included such as realistic night lighting, ground texturing, and custom jetways. The team has spent time working on an accurate-looking airside interior, along with detailed static aircraft throughout. In total, there are 50,000 hand-placed objects across the scenery package. Also included is 20cm custom orthoimagery which then blends in with the surroundings for an authentic look.
It can be yours now from Orbx for $34.50 AUD (approximately US$23.17 | €21,86 | £19.08).
