Following a range of previews and first looks, FlightSim Studios has released its E-Jets 175 for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Embraer created the series of E-Jets in order to transport up to 100 or so passengers over a distance of around 1800nm. The E175 variant allows for up to 88 passengers to travel in the small twin jet.

FlightSim Studio has included a 3D model of the plane, complete with interior modelling of the cabin. PBR and decal technology has also been used to help make the plane look authentic in the simulator.

Other features of the plane include a custom flight director for the autopilot, realistic Primary Flight Display (LOAD27), a custom soundpack and 7 detailed liveries. The 3D model was created by X-Crafts, whilst the remaining work has been done by FlightSim Studio.

This is being called an ‘Early Access’ release and FlightSim Studios are promising many updates over the next year. A new version, v0.9.1, will be released in two weeks’ time, which includes a handful of bug fixes from the initial v0.9.0. The team are also using a voting system to determine what features should be included next. It’s good to note that prominant features are missing such as VNAV, a weather radar and much more, all of which is listed in their roadmap.

A disclaimer is being added to the product: “There will still be bugs and features missing at this initial release stage, and we are clearly saying in the product description which features are included, as well as which main features are not included yet.“

You can buy the EJets 175 from Aerosoft for $39.99 USD (excluding taxes). Remember, the developer has said that the price will only increase as more updates are applied to the aircraft. It’s not clear when or by how much these price increases will be.
